The IAFF is pleased to offer another exciting opportunity for local union leaders to gain advanced executive leadership training through a scholarship program.
Two scholarships will be available for qualifying IAFF members to attend the joint Harvard Law School – University of Ottawa Executive Leadership Program. Originally developed for the Canadian Police Association, this certificate program teaches advanced leadership skills in a number of key areas during three 3-day sessions taking place in Ottawa April 9-12, 2014, November 26-29, 2014 and Spring, 2015 (TBA).
Any Canadian IAFF member in good standing with an IAFF affiliate is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applicants must be an active member of the IAFF Local Affiliate and have demonstrated active participation within the local affiliate as an officer or committee member for example. Applications must be received at IAFF Headquarters in Washington D.C. no later than January 31, 2014.
